Attack log — Riemann hypothesis
Chronological attempts, newest last.
2026-08-30 — establish the record
- Read the Clay statement and the Hilbert, Smale, Millennium, and Landau catalogs. This is Hilbert 8(a), Smale 1, and a Clay problem. The existing Landau 3 folder is an RH-conditional consequence, so it is cross-linked rather than duplicated.
- Fetched Rodgers–Tao arXiv:1801.05914 and Polymath 15 arXiv:1904.12438 with
scripts/arxiv_fetch.pybefore using their constants. - The supplied Platt–Trudgian identifier, arXiv:2007.02194, resolves to a software-refactoring survey. Logged that failed lookup, found the correct primary source at arXiv:2004.09765, and fetched it with the same script.
- Record fixed at : Rodgers–Tao prove the lower endpoint; Platt–Trudgian prove RH through height and state the consequence of Polymath 15.
2026-08-30 — replay the published upper-bound parameters
- Polymath 15 Theorem 1.2 yields once its height, asymptotic-region, and barrier hypotheses are all established.
- Its Table 1 second row prints , , and . Exact arithmetic on those strings gives . The Platt–Trudgian height exceeds by .
- The table entries are rounded. Neither paper proves that the displayed digits retain all three hypotheses at , so this calculation is a replay diagnostic and no dent.
2026-08-30 — audit the off-arXiv 0.1787854 lead

Pinned
judegomila/dbn-lambda-01787854-candidate-auditat commita74738deb6d5e0f76887cb36901da08b68dca705. The repository describes itself as a candidate audit outside peer review and arXiv, so it is a lead rather than the record. -
Replayed the exact identity
Its requires RH through ; the published Platt–Trudgian height clears that input by .
-
Ran the complete stored review. Its seal covered 443 files. The verifier parsed every stored finite row (3,149,013 rows), found no gap, overlap, or uncertain row, and obtained stored finite floor against error upper . The stored tail, barrier, sign map, and exact criterion checks also passed.
-
Kept the machine to one compute job at a time. Fresh FLINT/Arb runs at 256 and 512 bits reproduced the Proposition 4.10 error majorant with margin greater than and the infinite-tail contraction with margin greater than .
-
Regenerated the barrier sequentially. All 7,688 regenerated components fit their stored interval balls. The uniform error was below ; 883 consecutive time prisms covered , the winding integer was zero, and the minimum printed prism margin exceeded . Fresh logs and hashes are retained in
compute/q1/fresh/. -

580d0b51165da58d4ca22e16d80a8c3db603dd0d9246f26dd027b5f820bf0808with GCC 14 and FLINT 3.1.3, then regenerated the first row on one low-priority core. At its canonical outputL12 0.000000791366 GT089 0matches the sealed row exactly. The run took 242 seconds and about 5 MB RSS. -
The full expensive finite-row producer was not rerun: its archived shards were fully parsed, while the upstream full regeneration uses a parallel workflow during the existing Hilbert 16(a) search. The analytic bridge, including the explicit scope note in the candidate's own uniform-error verifier, was not independently proved here. Thus remains residue. The published upper endpoint stays .
2026-08-30 — replay a published Lehmer pair
-
The Saouter–Gourdon–Demichel paper has no arXiv version located in this search, so fetched its official AMS journal PDF. A guessed arXiv identifier 0809.1846 was unrelated and is logged in
RESEARCH.md. -
Recomputed the paper's displayed four zero ordinates and Theorem A formula. The Python path gives
and
reproducing the printed historical bound . An independent C calculation checks broad corridors for all three values.
-
This route has no present lower-bound headroom because Rodgers–Tao proved . The replay is useful as a small certificate, but no dent.
Leftover
- Extend the one-row fresh producer check to all 3,149,013 finite rows under a separately implemented interval program, then compare the complete row stream rather than trusting archived shards.
- Audit each analytic implication from the numerical inequalities to the Polymath 15 hypotheses, especially the transition and the barrier's normalization and zero-count transfer.
- If the candidate appears on arXiv, replay that version from a clean source tree and compare its statement and hashes with this pinned lead.
2026-09-08 — q2: finish the finite regeneration
- Read the complete earlier record and code before choosing the existing
candidate. Created
compute/LEAVES.md, with q1 as residue and q2 as the open certification leaf, and pinned the exact attempted inequality inq2/CLAIM.md. Refetched and read Polymath 15 arXiv:1904.12438v2 and Platt–Trudgian arXiv:2004.09765v1. The comparison remains the published upper bound ; no rounded-table improvement is used. - Rebuilt the pinned original producer and ran all 23 segments sequentially, checking the complete output against the candidate archives with a constant-memory parser. All 3,149,013 rows matched. Every segment was fresh, with no uncertain or nonpositive row. Total wall time was 4265.578 seconds; the recorded peak including the launcher was 17892 KiB.
- Wrote an independent direct convolution in Rust. It merges divisor streams and collects coefficients before taking absolute values, with exact Euler prime weights and the exact target time and height. At it consumed 22,111,616 pairs and obtained within the printed Arb enclosure. This check took 73.064 seconds. Repeating that initialization at every index would be impractical.
- An enumerator-only optimization of the original producer was drafted and compiled, but it was not used for the certificate or a timing claim. The unchanged producer finished its full sweep. The unused optimization was removed from the final working files.
2026-09-08 — q2: a second complete finite algorithm
- The useful reduction was to hold the exponent nodes fixed while the cutoff changes. The absolute convolution sums are positive Laplace sums, so their eighth derivatives have a simple support bound. Eight-node interpolation with an explicit factorial remainder can therefore replace millions of independent initializations.
- Increasing the cutoff adds exactly one pair for each divisor.
The Rust implementation reconstructs the old coefficient at and
updates each fixed node by the difference of absolute values. This is a
different algorithm from the original producer's Taylor moments and frozen
gamma weights. The proof is in
q2/INTERPOLATION.md. - All four independent ranges completed in 600.144 seconds. Each contains every required integer, and their union is exactly . The recorded peak including the launcher was 10688 KiB. Both complete implementations give global floor at .
- A Python dictionary convolution checked 100 small cases. Sixteen deliberately malformed certificates were rejected. Tests included a duplicate independent row and a false original floor with their transcript hashes updated to match, so hash agreement alone cannot pass.
- The exact finite margin after the uniform approximation error is . The finite result alone is not the Lambda inequality: height, tail, barrier, and analytic transfer remain separate gates.
2026-09-08 — q2: analytic review and fresh transfer checks
- Reviewed the native convolution and normalization, the upper Dini derivative at a coefficient zero, the divisor-pattern coverage, window directions, correction monotonicity, infinite-tail caps, and barrier homotopy against the pinned source and published formulas.
- The positive-time theorem extends to zero on the fixed barrier rectangle by dominated convergence, nonvanishing of the normalizer, and continuity of the fixed-index finite sum. This supplies the implication left open by q1's explicit zero-time scope note.
- Derived the identity between the barrier coefficient polynomial and Polymath's , including both outer factors and the conjugated branch. The coefficient generator's older nonholomorphic quadrature only chooses a matrix size; the mandatory separate factorial remainder certifies the selected size. Its geometric denominators are positive because on the complete support.
- Fresh Arb finite-error and tail runs passed at 256 and 512 bits. The Dini height transfer passed at 180 and 256 bits over all four prime schedules; normalizer/correction and window checks passed. The Python interval tail also passed.
- The historical stored assembly first failed because its hard-coded gcc call could not find the temporary FLINT headers. Correcting compiler search paths made it pass. That historical checker buffered about 1 GB, so the normal reproduction path now omits it and uses this folder's complete streaming assembly instead.
- Started a fresh barrier replay, including the full coefficient matrix, truncation error, uniform error, and all closed prisms. It shares the exclusive heavy-job lock with the numerical lanes and the archival assembly. The candidate is not promoted while this replay is unfinished.
2026-09-08 — q2: complete certificate and dent
- The fresh barrier completed in 1153.983 seconds. All 7,688 regenerated components fit their serialization balls. All 883 closed prisms passed, with independently recomputed minimum margin greater than and winding intervals certifying zero. The exact closed endpoint is covered.
- The new assembly initially rejected the historical line
PASS: 30 FAIL: 0as a generic failure marker. Recognizing that exact zero-failure summary fixed the parser; a nonzero failure count is still rejected. No interval gate or numerical bound was relaxed. - The complete original and independent finite streams, fresh analytic
logs, coefficient matrix, execution manifests, and exact summaries are
retained under
q2/certificate/, about 47 MiB compressed. Archival assembly and replay passed. The plot retains exact minima over all 1,538 bins, covering every finite index. - Dent: , relative to the published Platt–Trudgian bound. Gomila is credited for the earlier candidate and its construction. This campaign contributes the second complete finite algorithm and analytic audit. Shared Arb dependence and the absence of external human peer review are explicit in the note.
- The final
run_all.shcertificate replay exited 0 with the exact CLAIM. Its output is retained inq2/run_all_result.txt. The other README claims and all other problem folders were checked unchanged.
